I work with edtech organizations as a strategic and instructional thought partner, supporting teams across the lifecycle of product design, implementation, and refinement.

  • Product and feature review through an instructional lens

Helping teams examine how design choices shape teaching and learning in practice, including unintended consequences at the classroom level.

  • Curriculum and standards alignment

Supporting alignment to instructional frameworks, subject-area expectations, and real classroom workflows so products fit naturally into educators’ work rather than competing with it.

  • Use-case design grounded in school realities

Helping teams articulate clear, realistic use cases that reflect time constraints, professional learning needs, and variability across schools and districts.

  • Pilot design and learning from early implementation

Supporting the design of pilots that generate meaningful insight, not just adoption data, and helping teams interpret early signals to inform iteration.

  • Professional learning and enablement strategy

Advising on how educators are supported to use products well — including onboarding, ongoing learning, and capacity-building approaches that respect educator judgment.

  • Content and learning experience systems

Helping teams think through how instructional content, assessments, reflection, and feedback are structured within the product to support learning over time.

  • Impact and evaluation thinking

Supporting teams in defining what “success” actually looks like instructionally, and how to gather evidence that is credible to educators, leaders, and partners.

My role is not to replace internal expertise, but to strengthen decision-making and scalability by bringing a deep understanding of how products land in real educational settings.

A Bridge Between Product and Practice

My background across classrooms, school leadership, district systems, and nonprofit partnerships allows me to serve as a bridge between product teams and the realities of schools.

I help surface questions that are often missed:

  • Where might this add cognitive load for educators?

  • What assumptions are being made about time, training, or incentives?

  • How will this interact with other initiatives already in place?

These conversations lead to stronger design decisions and more durable products.

On Responsibility and Impact

Education products inevitably shape instructional practice, whether intentionally or not.

I work with teams that want to engage seriously with questions of responsibility, impact, and long-term use — not just adoption or growth.

This includes thinking carefully about:

  • Educator agency and professional judgment

  • Equity and access across varied contexts

  • Ethical and cultural implications of design decisions

  • The difference between engagement and meaningful learning
